Clear Penetrating Epoxy Sealer (CPES)™

The foundation of all our restoration products is CPES. It penetrates to halt rot by encapsulating it, destroyed wood is replaced with a highly flexible wood based epoxy. Because this resin system is derived from natural wood resin it develops a chemical adhesive bond to the wood fibers themselves.

The perfect follow-up to CPES or our Layup and Laminating epoxy resin. It functions as a filler and an incredibly strong bonding agent. Fill-It is a two part epoxy resin made from natural wood resins. It is the preferred product in the restoration of wood which has been subject to dry-rot cavities or mechanical damage.

MultiWoodPrime is the New Wood/Millwork brand name for Clear Penetrating Epoxy Sealer (CPES) Why is that? and where did MultiWoodPrime come from? A secondary benefit of CPES was discovered by the use of it in the restoration of wood. It was functioning as a high grade adhesion-promoting primer. Top coatings that had been applied were not failing within theirs expected time frame, therefore after restoration was complete general maintenance cost were cut in half.

Layup & Laminate Epoxy Resin

Layup & Laminating Epoxy Resin™

This is a moderately thin and convenient 1:1 mix of resin/catalyst obtained from natural wood products. More expensive to manufacture than the standard petro-based resins, but it bonds better to wood and is tougher and more flexible than any other epoxy resin. This product should be used as a follow-up to CPES. It will form the tightest bond you can get and when mixed with very fine sawdust. It makes a paste that can be smoothed into cracks and cavities. This is the only solution to long term restoration.

Oak & Teak Epoxy Glue

Oak & Teak Epoxy Glue™

All Wood Glue will glue oily hardwood such as teak, as well as mahogany okum, oak, spruce or any softer wood. It will (with proper surface preparation) glue a wide variety of metals, glass, rubber or plastered materials. The cured adhesive is completely waterproof and weatherproof. Its formulation and ingredients are derived in large part from the natural resins of wood itself, which accounts for its toughness, flexibility and natural compatibility with all wood, especially oily hardwood.

All Wood glue is the first of a new generation of products from Smith & Company embodying our new Dual Synergistic Catalyst, a breakthrough in the control of epoxy resin curing. This new technology not only makes an existing product at least twice as convenient to use but will bring about an absolutely dependable full chemical cure at temperatures down to 28°F (-2°C) All Wood glue is intended to be mixed one-to-one by volume and is forgiving of minor mix ratio's errors.

Damp Concrete Primer

Damp Concrete Primer™

Odour-free concentrate permanently glues any coating to fully cured concrete. Mix one quart with two quarts water. This will cover 400 square feet; paint within a few hours and costs about twenty nine cents per square foot. Very Fine Sawdust

Very Fine Sawdust

Mix with Layup and Laminating Epoxy Resin up to a 50:50 mix. This paste is then used to fill cracks and cavities in logs and large timbers. It is an excellent product when the rot is in isolated areas i.e. stringers in boats that are covered in fiberglass. You no longer have to replace the entire beam or shape a "dutchman" to replace the damaged area. Just fill the area where the rot was removed and allow to cure. When cured, you will have a flexible permanent repair that is stronger than the original wood.
