This product should be used as a follow-up to CPES. It will form the tightest bond you can get and when mixed with very fine sawdust. It makes a paste that can be smoothed into cracks and cavities. Very Fine Sawdust
Mix with Layup and Laminating Epoxy Resin up to a 50:50 mix. This paste is then used to fill cracks and cavities in logs and large timbers. It is an excellent product when the rot is in isolated areas i.e. stringers in boats that are covered in fiberglass. You no longer have to replace the entire beam or shape a "dutchman" to replace the damaged area. Just fill the area where the rot was removed and allow to cure. When cured, you will have a flexible permanent repair that is stronger than the original wood. |
